I’m a freelance consultant, supporting organisations in becoming more sustainable by helping them find a route to new income, facilitating their planning and development and enabling them to make new productive partnerships.
I’ve been based in North Devon since the 1990’s and despite a career taking me to Leicester, Nottingham and London I’ve always commuted home at weekends and am pleased to now be based here for good.
While working with The Plough Arts Centre over the last three years I helped them raise and exceed their Arts Council target funding and create a range of good relationships with new funders. I was also one of the founding team for Torrington 100 helping set up the original social prescribing pilot.
I believe strongly in partnership working, in co-creating programmes of work that come from community needs. Recently I’ve written successful bids and created development plans for The SS Freshspring Trust, a steamship based in Bideford, which also acts as a wonderful place for people to volunteer. I’ve also led strategic planning and fundraising as a trustee of North Devon Sunrise and am part of a group hoping to revive a pub in my local village.
